Our top National Trust destinations for this Easter weekend.
We have pulled together some of our favourite National Trust sites for this Easter holiday.
Killerton – Devon
Set in the heart of the Devon countryside, Killerton offers extensive grounds to wonder, explore and discover. This beautiful Georgian house is set in 2,600 hectares of land, built in 1778 the house is in the neo-Classical style, a lot has changed over the years but many original features still remain! This national trust site offers an array of activities to entertain and feed the whole family.
This Easter why not get involved with their Cadbury Easter egg hunt, following the clue to collect the prize. If an Easter egg hunt isn’t for you, how about taking a look at the “Votes for Women?” exhibition in the house, to learn all about the roles of women on the estate over the years.

Shugborough Estate – Staffordshire
One of the newer estates for the National Trust, Shugborough is undergoing a 10-year journey to bring the estate back to its full glory. Once described as “a perfect paradise”, the area is made up of extensive park lands, notable woods and historical monuments.
The estate had been in the Anson family since 1624, hosting an amazing Georgina mansion, with lots of original features and hidden treasures.
Why not join the team at Shugborough to take part in the nature inspired activates and trails to make the most of spring time on the estate.

Lanhydrock – Cornwall
A true Cornish gem, with serene paths through ancient woods and along tranquil riversides, Lanhydrock has activities for everyone. The late Victorian country house is the perfect setting for to discover the dual lives during the Victorian times; servants and land owners.
During the Easter period why not take part in the Cadbury Easter egg hunt or “out of the shadows” commemorating 100th anniversary of women gaining a political voice.

Ham House and Garden – Richmond
From rare Chinese teapots to 400-year-old paintings, Ham House has a huge collection of internationally recognised items. The house was built in the 17th century and sits adjacent to the River Thames, only open during the winter months, booking a guided tour is essential.
The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt is coming to the gardens of Ham House with a twist, you have to collect the answers to crack the code to the safe to free the egg!
Chocolate not your thing? Why not visit the transforming kitchen garden as it is taken over by a variety of different potatoes!
