We are absolutely thrilled to share that our Luscombe Damascene Rose Bubbly was recently featured at a truly remarkable royal occasion, a state banquet hosted at Windsor Castle in honour of Nigeria’s president and first lady.
State banquets are renowned for their grandeur: beautiful floral displays, exquisite cuisine, and carefully curated wine pairings. But this event marked a refreshing and meaningful departure from tradition. In recognition of Ramadan, the evening’s menu was entirely pescetarian, and notably, featured alcohol-free drinks.
For us, this moment represents something deeply special. It reflects a growing appreciation for beautifully crafted, non-alcoholic drinks that don’t compromise on flavour, elegance, or occasion.

A Royal Mocktail with a Story
At the heart of the evening’s drinks offering was a bespoke mocktail known as the “Crimson Bloom.” Inspired by Nigeria’s beloved Chapman cocktail, this vibrant creation brought together cultures and flavours in a way that perfectly echoed the spirit of the event.
The drink combined:
- Luscombe Damascene Rose Bubbly
- Nigerian Zobo (Hibiscus and Ginger syrup)
- Fresh lemon
The result? A delicately balanced, refreshing drink with floral notes, gentle sweetness, and a bright, citrus finish, a perfect celebration of both Nigerian and English influences.
