At Luscombe, we’ve always believed that good food and drink should be something everyone can enjoy – not a privilege, but a right. That’s why, for the past few years, we’ve proudly partnered with FareShare South West, a remarkable charity working to fight hunger and food waste by redistributing surplus food to those who need it most.
A Partnership with Purpose
FareShare South West joins the dots between food waste and hunger, empowering communities to turn an environmental problem into lasting social good.
They rescue tonnes of quality surplus food from the industry and share it with charities and schools to bring health, dignity and routes out of poverty for people across the south west. Their supportive volunteering and employability programmes offer local people the opportunity to thrive.
FareShare South West is an independent local charity, working in partnership with national charity FareShare who support them with food, projects and raising awareness of food justice for all.
We’ve been donating stock to FareShare South West for years, and we’ve seen first-hand the impact their work has.
But we wanted to do more.
And now, we’re inviting you to be part of this mission.
Introducing: Feed 4 People for Just £1
Starting this month, when you shop on our website you’ll have the option to donate £1 at checkout, which provides 4 meals to people in need through FareShare South West. It’s a small action that makes a huge difference.
Whether you’re buying a case of your favourite flavour or sending a gift to a friend, adding just £1 could help ensure someone else gets a nutritious meal.
Why It Matters
In the South West alone, thousands of people experience food insecurity every day. Meanwhile, tonnes of food are wasted. FareShare South West bridges that gap, but they need ongoing support to keep doing what they do so brilliantly.
