Overview of role:
As a Van Salesperson for Luscombe Drinks, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and distributing our premium products across Devon. This role combines sales and delivery responsibilities, where you will represent the brand directly to customers, develop strong client relationships, and ensure Luscombe Drinks' products reach customers efficiently. You will represent the brand directly to customers, contributing to the company’s growth in the region.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Product Sales: Promote and sell Luscombe Soft Drinks to both existing and potential customers within the assigned area, including independent retailers, cafes, restaurants, and other outlets.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing excellent service and addressing their needs or concerns. Ensure that they are well-informed about new products, promotions, and seasonal offers.
- Delivery & Stock Management: Deliver products directly to customers using the company van, ensuring that orders are accurate, and stock is rotated properly. Assist in managing stock levels on the van and restocking as necessary.
- Route Planning: Efficiently plan your daily delivery routes to maximize sales opportunities and minimize travel time, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Merchandising: Ensure Luscombe products are well-presented in stores by organizing and replenishing stock displays. Implement point-of-sale materials and promotional displays where applicable.
- Sales Targets: Work towards achieving individual and team sales targets set by the Sales Manager. Actively seek new business opportunities to expand the customer base within the designated area.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, deliveries, and customer interactions. Provide regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to the Sales Manager.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the company van is maintained in good condition, reporting any issues to management and keeping the vehicle clean and organized.
What we are looking for:
- Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales, ideally in the food & beverage or FMCG sector. Previous experience in a similar van sales role is a plus.
- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach. Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of clients.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks. A proactive attitude towards achieving sales targets
- Driving License: A full, clean UK driving license is required, with the ability to drive a commercial van.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to load, unload, and deliver products, sometimes in bulk, which requires physical stamina.
