The Role

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual with a strong work ethic to join our team as an eCommerce Operative. The ideal candidate should be able to work autonomously to ensure the smooth processing of customer orders, handle customer service enquiries, and assist with stock management. This role offers part-time hours and is perfect for individuals currently doing the school run, or someone who is looking for shorter working hours in general.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Processing & Packing: Monitor and manage incoming orders via Shopify, ensuring all items are packed accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional and friendly support to customers via email and phone, addressing enquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Stock Monitoring: Update and maintain stock levels on Shopify, flagging any shortages to ensure smooth operations.
  • Sales Samples: Pack and dispatch sales samples as required, ensuring they reach prospective clients in a timely manner and to a high standard.
  • Customer satisfaction: Working with Marketing department to improve general customer satisfaction.
  • Quality control: We share our customers high standards, and as a result all orders need to be checked to ensure products and packaging being sent out are uniform and without any imperfections.
  • Work with service partners: Communicate with our service partners to resolve issues or customer enquiries regarding labelling system, delivery or customer accounts. Any larger issues to be escalated to Marketing/IT.
  • May be asked to assist in other areas of the business.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms (preferred but not essential).
  • Customer service experience, ideally in an online retail environment.
  • Strong IT skills, with the ability to work across multiple customer service and eCommerce systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and reliable team player who can take initiative.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced workload, i.e ensure all orders are dispatched same day.
