We have partnered with Vision Zero South West to raise awareness of the dangers of drink driving this winter. We are urging adults to enjoy a drink when out this festive season, but without the alcohol and risk.
Vision Zero South West is a partnership involving many organisations in Devon and Cornwall who share one goal – to eliminate death and serious injury from our roads.
Over the past five years (2020-2024), 25 people have been killed and a further 253 were seriously injured in collisions where alcohol impairment was a contributory factor in the South West.
Did you know? Alcohol is a depressant and even small amounts (such as half a pint of lager) affect reaction times, judgement and co-ordination. Alcohol also makes you drowsy and affects vision and how you judge speed and distance.
With quality alternatives to alcohol, such as premium zero % craft beers and the finest soft drinks, we are urging adults to enjoy a drink, but make sure its non-alcoholic.
